Therapeutic Approach
My counseling style is relaxed, efficient, and guided by interventions that have been validated by research.
Working collaboratively, we will look at past and current influences, including family, culture, and relationships that have contributed to current concerns. In therapy, you will develop the skills needed to understand your experience in order to make sense of the way you think and feel, clearing the way for you to make more deliberate and healthy life decisions. For some people brief therapy is recommended, for others, a longer course of treatment is appropriate.
The therapeutic process can be extremely enlightening, even if you are not experiencing debilitating symptoms. The benefits of therapy can extend into all areas of life and help you to feel more in control and confident in the choices you make.

“Each decision we make, each action we take, is born out of an intention.”
– Sharon Salzberg
My orientation is eclectic, integrating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness techniques to customize treatment to meet each individual’s needs.
Sessions are held virtually through a HIPAA compliant and completely secure platform. Your privacy, as well as your psychological needs, are always my primary concern.
